Engagement Shoot In Chester | Emily & James

We have always wanted to do a Engagement Shoot In Chester, and we finally got the chance when Emily and James suggested it.

They live in Shrewsbury so we thought Chester with its history, narrow streets and canals would be a great place to have their pre-wedding shoot.

James is in the RAF and Emily is a vet so both have very busy, eventful lives. We first arranged to meet in Manchester to discuss their wedding plans and hit it off instantly. We find that meeting with our couples to discuss their big day and having a pre-wedding shoot on top of that is really a great way for us all to get to know each other. After all, we will be spending the whole of one of the best days of their lives with them, it makes it so much more relaxed when we have got to know each other beforehand.

The sun was beaming on the day of the shoot and we made great use of all what Chester has to offer, even getting off the beaten track to get some really quirky photos of these two together. It’s amazing what you can do with a couple of shopping trolleys. They even brought their dog Magnus along for the day who was just a joy throughout. The “stick” he carried around in his mouth was bigger than him. Such a natural in front of the camera though.

We had such a laugh with these guys. Their wedding is at the officers mess at their hometown of Shrewsbury. Stay tuned…
