2025 was one of those years I’ll look back on and still struggle to wrap my head around. Not because of numbers or rankings, but because of what those wedding photography awards actually represent. Real moments. Real weddings. Real trust from couples who let me photograph their day exactly as it happened.
This year wasn’t about trends or ticking boxes. It was about documentary wedding photography being recognised at the very highest level, and that means everything to me.

This Is Reportage Awards 2025
In 2025 I was lucky enough to receive three single image awards and three story awards from This Is Reportage. For anyone who doesn’t know, This Is Reportage celebrates pure documentary wedding photography. Nothing staged. Nothing pre planned. Just honest moments, exactly as they unfolded.
That’s why these awards are so close to my heart. This is the way I’ve always shot weddings. Blending in, observing, reacting, and letting moments happen naturally rather than creating them.
On top of the awards, This Is Reportage ranked me in the top 10 wedding photographers in the world and top 10 in the UK for documentary wedding photography. To be recognised in that space, alongside photographers I’ve admired for years, is something I’ll never take lightly.

Fearless Photographers Awards 2025
Then there’s Fearless. The big one!
In 2025 I was awarded eight Fearless Photographers awards, which ranked me number one in the UK and fourth in the world. Writing that still feels a bit mad.
Fearless awards are notoriously difficult to win. They are judged against the very best wedding photographers on the planet, across every style imaginable. The standard is unreal. This is why they’re often referred to as the Oscars of wedding photography.
I still remember starting out and thinking how insane it would be just to win one Fearless award. To win eight in a single year is genuinely mind blowing.
What makes it even more special is that all of the awarded images are documentary. Real moments. Real weddings. No setups. No trends. Just real storytelling, standing shoulder to shoulder with every other style in the industry.

What These Wedding Photography Awards Represent
Awards aren’t the goal. They never have been, it’s always been about my couples and I never set out to a wedding thinking “I wonder how many awards I can win today?” But recognition like this tells me something important. That documentary wedding photography is timeless. That natural, real moments still matter, even as trends come and go.
It reassures me that the approach I’ve stuck to from the start, trusting moments, trusting people, trusting the story, still holds its place at the very top of the industry.
None of This Happens Without My Couples
Every single one of these awards exists because of the couples who trusted me. Who let me in. Who gave me the freedom to do what I do best and capture their day honestly.
I’ll always be grateful for that trust. These moments belong to you long before they ever belong to me.
So that’s my 2025 in awards. A year of recognition I’ll never forget, and one that’s pushed me even further to keep doing what I love, in the way that feels true.
