Manchester Northern quarter street party…

For the past couple of summers Manchester’s northern quarter and our favourite establishments close off  the streets and throw an amazing street party that covers Thomas Street, Edge Street, Tib Street and High Street. Thousands of people turn up for the barbecue stalls, funfair rides and the stages for live DJs and bands, and they even throw a dog show. Some people in fancy dress with lots of different bars having different themes.  I just love street photography and this was the perfect opportunity for me to take my camera and my 50mm to the coolest streets of Manchester and capture the lots of different, diverse people that make up this wonderful city. Huge well done to the organisers CityCo and may this annual event continue for many years to come. We had a great day and i still couldn’t stop taking pictures when we went for a little something to eat in china town and the train journey home. Cant wait for the next event, Roll on summer..
